Mrs. Peggy Lee Smith, age 75, of Rome, GA, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at a local healthcare facility.
Ms. Smith was born in Cherokee County, AL, on March 8, 1948, daughter of the late Foy Jackson and the late Dorothy Barnes Jackson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James “Bill” Smith, a son, Jeff Lewis, and a grandson, Brian Lewis.
Survivors include her son, Derick Smith (Sarah), Rome, GA; 2 grandchildren, Rayden Smith and Alleigh Smith; 2 nephews, Tony Potts (Cassie) and Johnny Stephens; a niece, Kim Lewis (James); great-nieces and nephews, Tiffany Barnes (Josh), Crystal Pierce, Drew Stevenson, Jennifer Hutchens, Georgia Potts and Madison Taylor.
