Rebecca Nicole Armstrong, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said they discovered she lied about being sexually assaulted.
Police said that a day after making allegations against another person for sexually assaulting her, Armstrong recanted the statement saying that she lied about the incident.
Armstrong is charged with the false report of a crime.
