Joshua Mize, 36 of Rome, was arrested on various drug charges following a vehicle and foot chase in Garden Lakes.
Reports said that Mize fled from officers in a vehicle after running a stop sign. He then later stopped the car and then fled on foot near Industrial Blvd.
After being captured, he was found to have been in possession of marijuana and cocaine.
It was also discovered that he had been driving on a suspended license.
Mize is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license, obstruction, fleeing from police, failure to maintain police, running a stop sign and reckless driving.
