Tamela Dawn Brown, 42 of Rome, was arrested this week for committing check forgery at United Community Bank.

Reports said that Brown drove a co-defendant to the Martha Berry branch where a bank slip was ordered. Brown along with other individuals then obtained $600 by using the drive-thru, where they presented the financial slip order with the victim’s bank account information along with the victim’s identification.

Reports added that the victim never gave Brown or anyone permission to use her information.

Brown is charged with 2nd degree forgery, identity fraud and printing, executing, and negotiating checks knowing the information is fictitious.
