Samuel Cisneros Reyes, 29 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he used his car to drag a woman down the road.
Officers went on to say that after arriving at the jail he was found with cocaine in his possession.
Authorities said that the victim was the suspect’s spouse.
The incident occurred on Plymouth Road.
Reyes is charged with aggravated assault, possession of cocaine, and unlawful possession of drugs by an inmate.
