An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Jerry Allen Newberry, 31 of Rome, is facing new charges after reports said he was found with methamphetamine.
Police said that Newberry had originally been arrested for probation violation before being found with drugs inside the jail
Newberry is charged with possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drugs by an inmate and probation violation.
