Women Jailed for Threatening and Beating Elderly Woman with Cane

Two elderly Rome women, Sharon Delores Lawrence, 65, and Cynthia Diane Williams, 63, were arrested this week for threatening and attacking an older woman at the NWGA Housing Authority senior living apartments on North 5^th Avenue.

Williams is accused of telling the 72 year-old woman that she was going to “f*** you up”.

After making the threat, Lawrence is accused of using her cane to beat the victim.

Police said that the victim was left with visible injuries to her arm and wrist.

Lawrence is charged with battery.

Williams is accused of terroristic threats and acts.
