Christopher Dewayne Womack, 50 of Rome, was arrested after he attacked a 57 year-old man with a metal object at a location on Alabama Highway
Reports said that Womack beat the victim in the left arm, causing visible injury while threatening that he was going to kill him
Officers stated that when they arrived on scene he began to walk away despite attempts to get him to stop. When he finally stopped, officers said he held a knife to his throat.
Womack is charged with aggravated assault, obstruction and terroristic threats and acts.
