Christopher Dewayne Wiggins, 45 of Rome, was arrested this week after a traffic stop on North Broad Street led police to find a large amount of methamphetamine.
Police said that after pulling over Wiggins for an expired tag, a K9 officer alerted on the vehicle.
A search then resulted in officers finding appx 19 grams of methamphetamine and a digital scale.
It was also discovered that Wiggins was on the run from police in Calhoun County, Alabama.
Wiggins is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects and being a fugitive from justice.
