Lakeshia Nicole Ferguson, 31 of Marietta, was arrested in Rome after reports said she beat a store clerk when she refused to give her a free cigar.
The victim said that after she refused to give her a free cigar, Ferguson pushed her and then proceeded to come behind the counter and stole a cigar.
The victim went on to say that Ferguson threatened harm to her while yelling and cursing.
When officers arrived on scene, Ferguson physically resisted and fought with police.
The incident occurred on Calhoun Road.
Ferguson is charged with battery, disorderly conduct, theft by shoplifting and obstruction of police.
