An employee at the Subway on New Calhoun Highway, Jelani Hashim Niles Phillips, 27 of Dallas, was arrested in Rome after reports said he stole $318 from the cash register.
Reports stated that Phillips was not on duty at the time of the theft, which occurred back on October 14 of this year.
Phillips is charged with theft by taking.
