Amanda Dawn Fricks, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week after lying to police about her identity and then leading them on a foot Chase.

Police said that while questioning Fricks on Maple Road she gave them a fake name and then proceeded to run away.  After being captured she continued to resist officers. A search of Fricks resulted in police finding methamphetamine and a glass smoking device containing the drug.

The arrest comes following a warrant being taken on Fricks in June after police found drugs on her at a location on Williamson Street.

A search warrant of 106 Williamson Street led police to find a glass pipe, digital scales, and meth. After providing false information to police she was allowed to leave the scene.  Investigators later determined that the drugs found at the home were hers.

Fricks is charged with two counts possession of methamphetamine, two counts possession of drug related objects, two counts obstruction, and giving false information to police.
