David Isaias Lopez, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he lied about his identity during a traffic stop on Burnett Ferry Road.
Reports said that Lopez was pulled over for driving an unregistered vehicle when he gave police a fake name. Authorities added that after arriving at the jail he proceeded to sign his fingerprint card with the fake name.
Lopez is charged with false statements and writings, giving false information to police, driving without license and driving an unregistered vehicle.
