Marty Joe Cook II, 36 of Rome, was arrested this week after he was found in possession of drugs after attacking a woman in front of five children.
Reports said that the altercation began when Cook shoved the woman to the ground.
The victim then ran outside where Cook again shoved the victim. This time, the victim was shoved into a door mirror of her vehicle.
When police arrived and began arresting Cook they stated that they found a bag of marijuana in his shorts.
Cook is charged with five counts cruelty to children in the third degree battery and possession of marijuana.
