James Matthew Lawrence, 29 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he pulled a knife on another person during an argument at a location on Dean Avenue.
The incident occurred in front of a small child.
Lawrence is charged with aggravated assault and cruelty to children in the 3rd degree.
