Gordon County authorities confirmed that James Scott Derosier of Resaca was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Chatsworth Road Monday.
Reports said that Derosier was traveling east on State Route 225 at the intersection of Craigtown Road on his 2016 Honda motorcycle. A 1991 Ford Ranger driven by Eric Quincy Young of Ranger was traveling south on Craigtown Road when he failed to stop at the intersection and traveled into the direct path of Derosier’s motorcycle.
The motorcycle struck Young’s truck on the right side.
Derosier suffered serious injuries in the wreck and was transported to Erlanger in Chattanooga, Tennessee by Life Force. Young and the three occupants of his vehicle were uninjured.
Charges are pending.
