Rejiyah Jackson, 26 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said she physically attacked them while on a call at her home on Olmstead Street.

Reports said that Jackson repeatedly shoved an officer while he was carrying out his duties. During the incident, Jackson was given verbal commands to move while they were serving an arrest warrant on another person.

Officers added that Jackson was holding a small child while committing the attack.

Police went on to say that then when they began to place her in custody she refused to allow them to handcuff her.  Jackson reportedly backed up against a wall and then refused to sit her baby down while using her other hand to swing at and attack the officer.

Jackson is charged with felony obstruction of an officer, simple battery against a police officer, cruelty to children in the third degree and willful obstruction.
