Mari Cruz Perez, 24 of Rome, was arrested this week after she attacked a man with a knife at a home on Glenda Drive.
Reports said that Perez broke glassware and then grabbed knife and went after the victim, which was the father of her children. During the incident, Perez is accused of cutting the victim’s hat, stabbing a dresser, and broke a television. The victim told police that he was placed in fear of his safety.
Police estimated the damage exceeded $500.
Perez is charged with simple assault and criminal trespass.
