Ginger Lynn Jameson, 52 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said forced her son to live in a home filled with animal urine and feces.

Officers added that the home was filled with an ammonia odor.

A search of the home led police to collect 17 cats with a majority suffering from infections and in need of emergency care.

This marks the 2nd arrest of similar charges for Jameson.

Jameson is charged with cruelty to children, 17 counts of aggravated animal cruelty and probation violation.
