Rome Man Jailed for Stealing Sweeper from Water Department

Gregory Brian Colburn, 56 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole a sweeper attachment with a Bobcat from a Floyd County Water Department worksite.

Reports said that Colburn performed the theft with his brother back on May 19^th.

The sweeper is valued at $8,000.

Colburn is charged with felony theft by taking and probation violation.
