Calvin Mander Lowe Jr, 55 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he trespassed at a home on East 13th Street and proceeded to attack a woman in front of her children.
Police said that Lowe struck the victim in her face with his hand while a child witnessed it.
Reports added that Lowe had previously been banned from the home.
Lowe is charged with battery, 3rd degree cruelty to children and criminal trespass.
