A 29 year-old homeless Rome man, Aaron Joseph Hippley, was arrested this week after running from police when they saw him jaywalking.
Police said that they attempted to speak with Hippley when they saw him jaywalking and dancing in the street near the intersection of Martha Berry Blvd and North 5th Avenue. Officers added that Hippley, who was later found to have an active warrant, ran from police in an effort to avoid arrest.
He was captured after a short chase.
Hippley is charged with jaywalking, obstruction and being a fugitive from justice.
