Mrs. Beverly Diane Dowdy Broach, age 67, of Rome

Mrs. Beverly Diane Dowdy Broach, age 67, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at a local hospital.

                Mrs. Broach was born in Rome, Georgia on June 6, 1955, daughter of the late John W. Dowdy, Jr. and the late Tommie Inell Pruitt Crumley.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Tanner, and by a brother, Johnny Dowdy.  She was a member of Life UPC in Hinesville, GA.  Mrs. Broach worked for several years as a nurse for Floyd County and Floyd Medical Center.  She loved church and road-tripping with her brother and sister-in-law.  She also loved family get-togethers and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life.

                Survivors include her husband, Randall Broach; a daughter, Shonna Dorsey (Lee); four grandchildren, Braelyn, Jaron, James Isaac, and Justin Tanner; two great grandchildren, Chandler & Bray Jones; a brother, Dusty Dowdy (Denise); nieces and nephews.

                Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 3pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Tommy Crutchfield and Pastor Joey Motes officiating.  Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.

                The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Monday from 2pm until the service time.

                Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Monday at 2:30pm and include Jaron Tanner, James Isaac Tanner, Justin Tanner, Darius Jones, Seth Dowdy, and Tony Potts.
