Cartersville Police responded to Texaco in the Cartersville Village Shopping Center on South Tennessee Street near Leake Street about an irate male that caused property damage and left.

The clerk stated a male, later identified as 39-year-old Aaron Arthur Levi, went in asking for a pack of cigars. The clerk said she asked for his identification, and Levi began cussing and screaming at her. The clerk stated Levi began pushing and throwing items from the counter on the ground and at her. The clerk said she was scared of what Levi may do. She provided an officer with a video of the incident.

During the video, the officer observed Levi become irate and throw items off the counter. As the clerk approached the counter, Levi punched a computer screen on the counter and almost struck the clerk in the head. The clerk then threw a pack of cigars on the counter, and Levi picked them up, pushed a set of plastic shelves with vape cartridges off the counter, and left. The clerk stated the approximate cost of damages to everything would be $4,000.

Due to a witness providing police with Levi’s name and address, they obtained warrants. Once at Levi’s apartment, he refused to exit, so police forced entry and took him into custody. An officer said he saw Levi smoking cigars he had taken from the gas station while lying on his bed.

Cartersville Police charged him with multiple crimes, including two counts of criminal damage to property in the first degree and one count of robbery by intimidation.

He is still in the Bartow County Jail with a bond amount of $15,750.
