Rome Man Jailed for Beating Child with Belt Buckle

Reuben Demetrius Thompson Jr, 28 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he struck a child multiple times with a metal belt buckle.

Reports said that the child suffered visible injuries to his leg, back, chest and head, ,

The incident occurred bac on May 5 at their home on Dodd Blvd.

Thompson is charged with cruelty to children in the 1^st degree.
