Greggory Crawford Jr, 34 of Rome, was arrested after a traffic stop turned into a foot chase around Armuchee.
Police said that they initiated the stop after they clocked him driving 70 mph in a 45 zone on the Armuchee Connector. After stopping, Crawford is accused of fleeing on foot. A perimeter was established around the area, leading officers to locate Crawford at Mount Berry Mall.
Crawford was allegedly found in possession of ecstasy and marijuana.
Crawford is charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance, speeding, obstruction, failure to maintain lane, driving on wrong side of roadway, operation of a vehicle on approach by emergency vehicles and possession of marijuana.
