According to reports, Joseph Franklin Owens, was killed while riding a motorcycle on the Cedartown Bypass near Cason Road on Monday.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, a northbound GMC Sierra driven by Jose Adelson Orellana, was traveling in the right lane when he entered into the lane of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle being driven by Owens.
The motorcycle struck the Sierra between the front driver door and the front fender.
Owens succumbed to his injuries while en route to the hospital.
Orellana suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
