A 23 year-old homeless Rome man, Hollis Keith Pope, was arrested this week after reports said he was found burglarizing a home on Woodbine Avenue.
Officers said that when they arrived on scene Pope attempted to run away.
After being caught following a foot chase, Pope is accused of hitting and kicking arresting officers.
Pope is charged with first degree burglary, felony obstruction and willful obstruction of police.
