Daniel Johnson Fortenberry, 47, and Angela Jessie Fortenberry, 42, both of Rome, were jailed this week on numerous drugs charges following a traffic stop for not wearing their seat belt.
Reports said that officers observed rolling paper containing marijuana inside their vehicle.
A search then resulted in them finding a plastic baggie containing suspected cocaine.
A gun was also located in the car.
Once at the jail, officers said that they were found with additional cocaine.
Both are charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a scheduled II controlled substance, a seat belt violation and unlawful possession of drugs by an inmate.
Daniel is additionally charged with possession of a firearm while committing a crime.
