Lela Inez Kennedy, 52 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she slapped a 38 year-old man in the face during an argument at their home.
Reports added that Kennedy and the victim have lived together at a home on East 11st Stret for several years.
Kennedy is charged with simple battery.
