Amanda Lee Lecroy, 24 of Rome, was arrested this week after she allegedly stole rat poison and other items from the East Rome Walmart.
In addition to the rat poison, she is accused of stealing a battery and a radio. The value of items stolen was listed at $423.60.
Authorities added that after arriving at the jail she was found in possession of a controlled substance.
Lecroy is charged with theft by shoplifting, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and unlawful possession of drugs by an inmate.
