Demetrius Lamond Glenn, 37 of Rome, was jailed this week after reports said he stole a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox after attacking a woman.
Police said that the theft occurred back on April 7th at a location on East 2ne Avenue.
The victim reported that Glenn hit her in the face with his hands. She was allegedly left with redness and a small scratch to her ear.
The car’s value was listed at $7,000.
Glenn is charged with theft by taking and battery.
