Anthony Bernard McPherson, 64 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he choked a woman to the point she lost consciousness. The victim also told police that she feared she was going to die.
Authorities added that McPherson also hit someone in the face with his fist. The victim suffered visible injuries to their mouth and lips.
Reports did not say if the victims were the same or different.
The incidents occurred on April 8th at a home on Blankenship Place.
McPherson is charged with aggravated assault and battery.
