Shaun Blake Salmon, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he was found in possession of methamphetamine while being taken into custody for destroying government property.
Reports said that back on April 3 Salmon threw an object through a window of a government housing unit on Reservoir Street.
Officers located Salmon this week while driving on Holder Street near Maple Avenue. When they initiated a traffic stop, they stated that Salmon appeared to have been driving on a suspended license.
A search of the vehicle then resulted in officers finding methamphetamine and two smoking devices inside a backpack.
Salmon is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects, interference with government property, driving on a suspended license, criminal trespass, and two counts of probation violation.
