Jo Stephen Arno, 38 of Lilburn, was jailed in Rome after reports said he and four others attempted to sneak methamphetamine inside the Floyd County Prison.
Reports said that Arno and fellow inmate William Paul Shriver conspired with Brady Batchelder, Merilea Hansler and Dale Bruce Shaw to have 77 grams of meth delivered to an address on North Avenue to be taken back into the prison.
The incident occurred back on August 5, 2020.
Arno is charged with items prohibited by an inmate, use of a communication facility in the commission of a felony involving a controlled substance and attempt or conspiracy to violate Georgia controlled substance act.
