Racheal Selina Cafiero, 39 of Kingston, was arrested this week after she allegedly lied to authorities about her son being shot and kidnapped.
Reports added that investigators later determined that none of the events that Cafiero reported was true.
Cafiero is charged with the false report of a crime.
