Myron Woods, 24 of Grayson, was jailed in Rome after he and another person allegedly failed to return a Kobota excavator and trailer and then sold it to another person.
Reports added that the stolen item, which is valued at $28,000 was found at a used car lot in Tennessee.
Woods is charged with felony theft by taking and felon theft by conversion.
