On April 17, Georgia State Troopers responded to a vehicle versus bicycle crash in Bartow County.
The investigation determined a GMC Yukon was traveling northbound on GA 3 at its intersection with E. Felton Road. A bicyclist, Mr. George Dove, failed to obey a traffic control device and attempted to cross GA 3 on a red signal in a pedestrian crosswalk.
The front right of the SUV struck the left side of the bicycle and the rider, who was transported to Floyd Medical Center with injuries. Several witnesses stated Mr. Dove entered GA 3 without regard to traffic and the SUV didn’t have time to react.
