With no rainbows in sight on Thursday, Shamrock Stroll event attendees and sponsors were still able to produce a pot of gold worth more than $1,600 to benefit Brighter Birthdays. Some 50 guests made their way up and down Broad Street, with stops at Dark Side of the Moon, John Henry’s Grill, La Scala Mediterranean Bistro and Mellow Mushroom. Ball Corporation provided their familiar recyclable metal cups for the tasting portion of the event.
The Shamrock Stroll was presented by REALTOR Haley Gulledge of Toles, Temple & Wright, Inc. and Sunflour Community Bakery, who are collectively competing together in the upcoming Brighter Birthdays Dessert Challenge as “Team Rome Grown.” Tickets for the March 26th event can be purchased online at BrighterBirthdays.ticketspice.com/Dessert-Challenge. All proceeds from the Dessert Challenge will support the mission of the non-profit to help under-resourced kids in the Rome-Floyd County community to celebrate their birthdays through the delivery of bags filled with toys, birthday supplies, and other essentials.
