Edward Lamar McGregory, 47 of Rome, was arrested after police said he was found in possession of drugs during a traffic stop in which he allegedly lied about his identity.
Reports said that after running a stop sign, McGregory allegedly gave officers a fake name and date of birth due to him driving on a suspended license.
While taking him into custody, officers added that they found him in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
McGregory is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, giving false information to police, driving on a suspended license, and a stop sign violation.
