Alonzo Tyrone Law Jr, 21 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said they found him in possession of drugs and a gun during a search near the intersection of South Division Street and Cleveland Avenue.
Police said that Law possessed marijuana and a firearm in his right pocket.
Law was taken into custody just after midnight on Monday.
Law is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
