Tina Marie Bovee, 40 of Rome, and Michael Jason Bovee, 39 of Rome, were arrested this week after reports said four children were found living in a home on Denson Lane in deplorable condition.
Officers said that when they walked into the home they found it filled with feces, floors colored in animal urine, maggots, and flies.
Arrest reports added that the children were forced to sleep on the floor or beds that had no sheets and with blankets soiled in urine. The children’s bathroom was also filled with feces to the point the kids could not brush their teeth, use the toilet or shower properly.
Both are charged with four counts cruelty to children in the first degree and four counts contribution to the deprivation of a child.
