Calhoun Man Jailed for Stealing Car, Purses in Rome

Avant Deshawn Fleetwood, 18 of Calhoun, was arrested in Rome this week after reports said he was found in possession of a stolen vehicle. 

Reports said that the vehicle was taken from Callier Springs Road back on January 18^th of this year.

Police added that three stolen purses were also recovered.

Fleetwood was captured in Atlanta before being extradited back to Rome.

Fleetwood is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle, four counts theft by receiving stolen property, failure to appear and probation violation.
