An inmate at the Floyd County Jail Jeffrey Alfred Shedrick, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked one jail officer and threatened to do harm to others.

Reports said that after attacking an officer and sending them to the hospital, Shedrick said, “that’s why I’m going to get 2 or 3 more of yall.”

Shedrick is now charged with terroristic threats and acts, aggravated assault, unlawful acts in a penal institution, battery, felony obstruction, and assailing and resisting officers in a penal institution.

Jeffrey Alfred Shedrick, 31 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he acted violently toward another before threatening the arresting officer.

Police said that Shedrick caused less than $500 in damages at the home.

When officers arrived he allegedly caused harm to the officer a well as making threats of violence toward him.

Shedrick is charged with disorderly conduct, battery against a peace officer, terroristic threats and acts and criminal trespass.
