Deanna Christina Martinez, 27 of Rome, was arrested this week after she allegedly hit a police officer on the side of the face with her fist while she was being arrested.
Reports said that Martinez refused to comply with commands while being taken into custody during a traffic stop for DUI on Martha Berry Blvd.
Martinez is charged with aggravated battery against a police officer, obstruction and DUI.
