Christopher Anthony Hill, 28 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he held a woman against her will inside a home on Nixon Avenue.
Police said that the victim attempted to leave the home during a verbal dispute when Hill grabbed her by the throat from behind and pulled her back inside.
The victim told police that her airflow was restricted as the result of Hill’s action.
Hill is charged with aggravated assault and false imprisonment.
