Three Cave Spring residents, Robin Leighann Smith, 37, Austin Ferris Byess, 47, and Albert Forster Byess, 47, were all arrested at their home on Chubb Street after three small children were found “living in a home that was not for human habitation”.
Reports said that the home showed signs of neglect after officers found it covered in trash as well as animal urine and feces.
Police stated that the kitchen was covered in animal feces and a cat was witnessed urinating on the stove top.
The children were also found with roaches on their clothing.
Authorities were notified of the situation after the children were found smelling of urine at school.
All are charged with three counts cruelty to children in the 1st degree and three counts contribution to the deprivation of a child resulting in serious injury or death.
