An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Ernesto Bail Perez, 29 of Calhoun, is facing new charges after he attacked several deputies inside the facility.

Reports said that Perez kicked a sergeant and then injured his wrist in the altercation.  Perez then bit another officer’s left hand while physically resisting others officers attempting to get him calmed down.

Perez then proceeded to spit on another officer while making threats of death to two sergeant’s and their families.

Perez is charged with three counts battery, felony obstruction, terroristic threats and acts, unlawful acts in a penal institution and failure to appear.
