Samuel Lewis Burger, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he burglarized a laundry mat on Shorter Avenue.

Reports said that on October 29th, Burger used a pry bar to enter the office of the business and stole $4,000 in quarters.

Police added that he was also wanted for a theft that occurred back on August 31st.  Reports stated that Burger was found with an INNOVA scanner that had been reported stolen.  Burger then found himself in possession of the item before selling it for $40.

Burger is charged with second degree burglary and two counts theft by receiving stolen property.
