Eric Bernard Hightower 51 of Rome, was arrested this week for numerous crimes including the attack of a woman and selling drugs to a police informant.
Police said that on August 30, 2019 Hightower sold methamphetamine to a police informant at a location on Olmstead Street.
Reports added that on November 26, 2021 Hightower grabbed a woman by her clothing and pulled her closer in an aggressive manner. He is then accused of placing his hands around her neck while pinning her against a couch. Hightower then prevented the victim from leaving the apartment on Dodd Blvd.
Hightower is charged with battery, possession of meth with intent to distribute, sale of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, false imprisonment, and probation violation.
